DeMarcus Brooks: I enjoy helping and mentoring others to reach their fitness goals.

FSB: From a personal perspective, what do you enjoy about health and fitness?

DM: Health and fitness is the example of today’s practice for a stronger and healthy future. I enjoy the benefits of knowing that fitness is the key to giving me strength from a muscular standpoint. I enjoy the fact of knowing that every time I work out I improve my health.

DM: I enjoy all workout programs: strength training, functional training, core training, athletic performance and toning. I enjoy strength training the most.

FSB: Have you been able to share your knowledge of health and fitness with your family?

DM: Yes, I have helped my sisters and mother jumpstart their own fitness journeys, teaching them the benefits of living a healthy and fit life. I also have two beautiful daughters and our son whom is the boss with a lot of energy. I make sure they are knowledgeable on the best way to make health-conscious decisions.

FSB: What is your advice for beginners who are looking to get fit and healthy?

DM: Set a goal and stay consistent. Some days will be better than others, but stay focused and never give up.
